- French star Zinedine Zidane announced that his heart is breaking with the thought of his national team`s friendly with Algeria at Saint Denis. After all, the great player is of Algerian origin, isn`t he?
Algerian and French national teams are meeting for the first time after Algeria gained independence in
1962. Zizou says three Algerian players-- Madjer, Dahler and Zidane-- have gained the right to be mentioned in football history forever. This team took part in the World Cup in 1982 successfully enough. His namesake also played in that team of Algeria, which beat the FRG national team 2-1 in Spain.
