Confederation of African Football (CAF) Player of the Century, Roger Milla of Cameroun, has described the Super Eagles as the most technically-balanced team at the on-going African Cup of Nations in Mali.
Milla, winner of France Football Magazine`s Golden Ball award, expressed this view as a guest on a radio programme in Mali. Milla noted that not even defending champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun, possess the technical depth of the Super Eagles.
"The Eagles play the
most refined football of all the teams currently participating in the Nations Cup. Their only drawback is the absence of the right environment for them to express their skills," he said.
Milla, currently Cameroun`s roving ambassador and Special Adviser to President Paul Biya, maintained that the Super Eagles have quality players that can win the trophy.
"The Eagles can win the championship. From what I`ve seen of them so far, it will be difficult for any side to beat them," the former Camerounian star said.
