The two-times African Footballer of the Year is short-listed for a record-equalling third award for 2005.
He came in third behind Ronaldinho and Frank Lampard in last week`s World Player of the Year awards.
Cameroon failed to qualify for the World Cup finals in Germany next year. The African Nations Cup kicks off in Egypt on Jan. 20.
